Laura was a Pony Club B Tester who came to Gainfield in 2005 after applying for a Student position that was advertised. It coincided with her needing a one year work placement to complete the Equine and Business Degree which she was studying at Warwickshire College.Whilst she was with us she passed her BHS Stage 3 Exams. Her daily training sessions on her own horse during that period and her developing knowledge of the running of a busy training yard improved her confidence greatly. This encouraged her to apply for the Yard Managers position here which came up after the successful completion of her third year back at Warwick. Our knowledge of Lauras attention to detail and hard work and her insight into how we like to do things and the standards we expect made it an easy decision .Laura returned to Gainfield during the summer of 2007
One of her early projects was to be involved with the re breaking of two four year old Danish Warmbloods. One was slightly shy and sensitive and was going to need a little more time before it could be sold on. Laura decided to take him on as her own and Alonso is now growing more confident in all that he does rewarding Lauras patience . His movement ,though already above average, is continuing to develop through his improved suppleness and strength.
Lauras dedication to her horses and yet desire to continue training makes her a great team member.
